Hennig & Illustra film was established in 2005 by Michaela Brådhe Hennig & Rex Brådhe. The founders have extensive experience from both theatre and film.
The company’s core production focuses on creative documentaries and transmissions of theatre performances.
Our documentaries all have a warm an human feel to them as well as a dramatic touch. When producing theatre transmissions we always look for uniqueness in content, qualities in performance and interesting visual concepts.
Michaela Brådhe Hennig
Michaela Brådhe Hennig has extensive experience from both theatre and film.
She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting and also a degree in directing and producing from IHTV (the Swedish School of Television). In 2005 she established Hennig & Illustra film, based in Helsingborg, Sweden. Since the start she has produced some 60 titles in different genres. Today Hennig & Illustra film is a regular supplier of films for the Swedish Television (SVT).
Her current projects for SVT are:
The RallyGirla – a film about a young girl pursuing her dream to become a professional rally driver. It also tells about her older heroines, her mother Liz and grandma Margoth, who were both female rally drivers. The film is also about a young woman trying to find her identity as an adult.
The film about Astri & Evert, a film about a passionate artistic love affair.
Another project in development: The Laughing Conductor – a film about Andrew Manze, who used to be one of the world’s most distinguished violinists and who now is a rising star as conductor.

True Moments, 2005 – producer/director
Rex Brådhe has produced more than 70 films in various categories. He was appointed to produce and direct the very first TV documentary in HD for the Swedish Television (SVT) The Dance in Storsätern in 2008, and he has as also produced and directed several award winning interactive programs, for example Light Studio (Emma Award, Golden Eye and Guldklappan) and Sound Studio and the very first 3D CD-ROM production, The Return of the Pirate Queen.
He has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Directing.
He has also been teaching courses for EU MEDIA, multimedia developers at BBC London, ISL Paris and University of West England.
He has just started working on a successor to the film Streaplers & Eternity. The film is called Never again and is about four old rock musicians who have retired, but who can’t resist playing music and who can’t stay away from the stage. They start a new band, The Mule Skinner Band, despite putting their health and their lives at stake.
Rex is also working with the film The RallyGirl and the film about the artists Astri & Evert Taube.
